October Kit Projects Reveal - SD4U

It's time to reveal my projects created with the Amber Road kit from Scrapbook Deals 4 U!

For the Love of Cupcakes: I love love love this photo of my niece, Isabella. It was taken by her mommy while she was eating a cupcake at her sister Amber's birthday party.

Autumn Memories: This is my niece Amber's preschool portrait. I thought the colors in this kit were perfect for it!

Believe: My niece Isabella. Isn't she a doll?! My mom took this photo of her last summer.

I love to make cards with the leftovers from kits. I was able to make 3 cards and I still have plenty of items left to make another!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Gender Prediction

Is it a boy or a girl? I don't really have a strong gut feeling yet one way or the other. For some reasons I think we're having a boy but then for other reasons I think it's a girl. Of course we are going to be completely thrilled whichever it is but that doesn't decrease how anxious I am to find out!!!

The big ultrasound is still 23 long days away. So in the meantime I've been reading all kinds of old wives tales pertaining to gender prediction. One of the tales says that a fetal heart rate of over 140 means it's a girl, while a rate of under 140 means it's a boy. While this is just a myth, it has a 50/50 chance of being correct, right? lol

Well here are my baby's heart rate measurements so far:
At 7 weeks, 3 days: 129
At 9 weeks, 5 days: 179
At 12 weeks, 5 days: 159
At 16 weeks, 6 days: 150

Hmm... girl??? I hope to find out next month!

A Pretty Girl with Pretty Fingernails

My darling niece Amber has been big into having her nails painted. Some of you might remember the cute little manicure kit that I made for her this summer.

My most recent layout is about Amber and her pretty fingernails! In this photo she's wearing the french manicure fake nails that were included in her manicure kit :)

By the way, this layout is my sample for a challenge that I'm hosting this week at Scrapbook Deals 4 U as part of the month-long Cramfest challenge. The assignment is to create a layout containing a cluster of flowers, ribbon or trim, and sparkle. Easy and fun, right?! I hope you will consider participating in this one! The winner is voted on by the forum members! You can find the challenge here.
