Momenta Altered Gift Bag and Card Set

My daughter was invited to a birthday party for a little princess, and I thought it would be cute for the gift to be presented in an altered gift bag with a matching handmade card.

This set features Momenta's super cute Free to be Me collection.  I pulled some pinks and complimented them with some blue and white.

I started with a plain kraft bag from the dollar store.  I layered some patterned papers and embossed cardstock from the Free to be Me super paper pad onto a piece of white cardstock, and then embellished with a puffy border sticker, a paper flower that I made with my flower punches, a mini puffy dot sticker, and a pennant with a vellum birthday sentiment sticker.  I completed the bag by tying a bright white bow around the right side of the handle.

The card front is the same design as the bag front.  I adhered this to kraft cardstock to coordinate with the kraft gift bag. This pretty little princess clear layered sticker was the perfect focal point for the card!

Momenta has some fun product swap events coming up in August... can't wait to share :)

Birthday Wishes

Hello everyone! My mom had her birthday this weekend- here's her card using pretty Prima papers, a chipboard sticker, and ribbon that were left over from the beautiful June Main Kit at My Creative Scrapbook.  I always have plenty of MCS kit leftovers to use for cards!  Love that!

The "birthday wishes" stamp is from the Joyful Blooms set by Verve Stamps.  I thought it would be perfect to use for their July Diva Dare to create a birthday-themed project.

I'm always inspired by the sketches at Mojo Monday- I especially loved this week's sketch.

Hope you're having a great weekend!  I'm a busy bee right now with the My Creative Scrapbook August kits... can't wait to show you :)

Momenta Cards

Hello everyone!  I have another pair of friendship cards on the Momenta blog today.  They feature patterned cardstock and layered stickers from the fun Family Outings line.

For the first card, I layered two of the blue patterns from the Family Outings premium paper pad for the background to create a relaxed feel to the card.  I mounted the fun beach chair with umbrella clear layered sticker onto solid white cardstock and layered those onto the yellow polka dot patterned cardstock from the Family Outings pad (the oval and scalloped oval were cut with my die cut machine).

The sentiment is a vellum sticker from the Serendipity vellum sticker quote pad, which I adhered to solid white cardstock and attached to the card front with foam squares.  I used green polka dot ribbon for the bow to coordinate with the green polka dot section of the umbrella.

For my second card, I wanted the wonderful Family Outings yellow polka dot cardstock to stand out, so I only put a small layer of blue patterned cardstock behind it.

I layered a die cut oval and scalloped oval using foam squares and then adhered the sweet vellum sentiment sticker on top.  I finished the card off with a pretty blue bow.

The cute pair of fish is a layered sticker from the same set used in the first card.  I thought they'd make a sweet compliment to the sentiment :)

More Momenta Cards

Hi everyone!  I have another pair of cards to share that I recently created for the Momenta blog.

These cards feature the super cute One Fine Day collection.  One Fine Day has such a fun, cheerful feel to it, so I thought it'd be perfect for some friendship cards.

How cute is this monkey in the hot air balloon?!  That's one of the clear layered stickers... love the dimension on those!  I added him on top strips of patterned cardstock from the One Fine Day 5x7 cardstock pad.  The sentiment is a mini vellum quote sticker adhered to white cardstock.

I also used a clear layered sticker for the focal point of my second card.  I worked with the same general design as the first card, but changed the details a bit by trimming the patterned cardstock strips into pennants and staggering them onto one another.  I also rounded the corners of the yellow background cardstock.  The mini vellum sentiment sticker here is from the same sticker pack as above.

Hi everyone!  Today I have a set of bright and cheerful cards that I put together for the Eyelet Outlet blog.

My first card features a pretty teal mermaid brad along with a cute orange mini butterfly brad.

Card two features a wonderful cherry brad.

Card three is my favorite of the bunch, featuring 3 super cute bird brads.

This actually concludes my second term designing for Eyelet Outlet.  Thanks, Suzanne, for the fun experience! :)

My Creative Scrapbook July Main Kit Reveal and a Giveaway!

The July Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook features the totally gorgeous Beautiful Moments collection from Carta Bella.  I love the pretty pinks, reds, and neutrals as well as the beautiful, timeless patterns.

My first page with the kit features our totally sweet new kitties.

There are so many gorgeous embellishments in the kit...
I clustered one of the metal birdcages with
some of the beautiful flowers here.

There's a wonderful custom Leaky Shed chipboard piece in the kit.
I used inks and crackle paint to alter it.

I'm normally a pretty clean scrapper but I did use three mists on this background.

Here's Allison in her classic tired mode!

I used foam squares behind most of the stickers and punched shapes.

Pam always finds the perfect flowers for her kits!
These stunning flowers coordinate perfectly.

Even when Allison's sitting on the ground digging in wood chips and sprinkling them all over herself, she's still the most beautiful thing I've ever laid eyes on.

A closer look at the foam-squared stickers

Aren't these flowers gorgeous?!

I also made 3 cards with the kit... Hello
